Summer Time Blues?

It is summer and I am taking a little break between shows.  So far the weather has been with us.  The Nelsonville Music Festival was big fun.  We had storms every night that took out our power and delayed the music. At one point I had everyone who was taking shelter in my tent, stand on the rubber mats. When the water reached our ankles, I realized that the rubber mats were not going to keep us safe from the lightning.  Luckily I had light up tiaras to light our way and we joined the throng of folks partying and hanging out in the beer tent.

It's been a long cold lonely winter.

I have't written in a while because too much has been going on.  I work with small children so have had at least 3 different flu's so far.  The last one had me down for 10 days.  Luckily I can make tiaras while lounging on the sofa.  I have been busy making some really fun tiaras that I like to call my Diva Line.  There are tiny disco balls on some of them and all are really fun.
When it snows, like it is right now, I have to park my car way up on my hill and take everything in and out of the house via sled.

Tiara Emergency

It's that time of year again. Things are getting crazy here and I don't see them letting up for the next couple of months.  I am getting ready to display in several galleries, including UnionArts in Athens,, and Starbrick Gallery in Nelsonville. I have the ALPACA holiday show on the 8 & 9th. And don't forget my favorite, the West Elementary secret santa, where hords of children shove envelopes of money at me with lists and I get to help them navigate the items for sale and make a plan for spending on family members.

Yellow Springs, better get ready for me.

I'm getting ready for the Yellow Springs Show this weekend.  I picked up some really fabulous beads last weekend and can't wait to use them.  I"m thinking purple and black flowers, amber flowers and some horns with dangles.  I also picked up some super funny naked women beads that I  haven't figured out what to do with.
Anyway, it is supposed to be a beautiful Saturday. Take a drive over to Yellow Springs and come see me and my tiaras. Who doesn't need an autumnal tiara?

Things that glow in the night

Hey,so, I just got back from the Mothman Festival in Point Pleasant WV. It was amazing. The crowds were so fun.  People in costumes and crazy t-shirts. Conspiracy was in the air and there was much talk about aliens and men in black.  I was lucky to be vending with four of my good friends and we all had a blast.
My favorite part was the pageant.  There were over 40 contestants competing for five titles.  I was blown away.  Then the queens came to my booth and ohhed and awwed over my tiaras.
